Richard E. Bishop, 86, of Auburn, died Thursday, May 17th at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Syracuse.
Dick was a life resident of the Auburn area. He retired from the Postal Service in 1986. He was an Air Force Veteran. He was a communicant of SS Peter & Paul Church, a member of the YMCA, National Letter Carriers Assoc, and the Ukrainian National Club. He was a “Beach Bum”, and he loved to garden.
He is survived by his sons, Andrew of Auburn and Steven (Antje) of Germany, his daughter Catherine (Donald) LoBello of Bridgeport, six grandchildren, one great granddaughter, his sister Stella Allen of Auburn, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services for Mr. Bishop will be at 10 A.M. Thursday, in St. Peter & Paul Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Friends are invited to call Wednesday from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Plis Funeral Home, 220 State St., Auburn
