Rita J. Stock, 77, of Marcellus passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. after a short but courageous battle with a brief illness. She graduated from Marcellus Central School and was employed as Lead Accounting Clerk for Big M and later at P&C which later become Tops. She was predeceased by her husband Jeffrey who died suddenly in 2006, her parents George and Marion Sevier, 3 sisters, Beverly McVey in 1983, Jane McKendrick in 1996 and Frances Thorpe in 2011, her brother George in 1994 and nephew Raymond Salsbery in 1994.
Rita is survived by her 2 sons, Kenneth Leeb of Marcellus and Marty (Laura) Leeb of Florida, 2 grandsons Kevin and Joseph Ostrander and 2 great grandchildren, 5 sisters, Jeannette (Richard) Salsbery of Marcellus, Patricia (Terry) Lee of Florida, Jean Wells, Juanita (Tom) Balamut of Syracuse and Darlene Bragman of Weedsport, 2 brothers Frederick Sevier of Syracuse and Richard (Carey) Sevier of Marietta, step daughters, Diana Hinman of Georgia, Susan Mahoney of Washington and Jill Stock of Virginia, step son Matthew Stock of Clarence, NY and several step grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
As per Rita’s wishes there will be no services. She will be buried in Highland Cemetery, Marcellus.
