Obituary for Ronald R. Carbino

Ronald R. Carbino, 80, of Throop, died Tuesday, January 1, 2013. Ron was a native of Massena, the son of the late Rueben and Lydia Farmer Carbino. He has resided in the Auburn area since 1952. He was a graduate of Canton Technical College, and was employed by General Electric, Syracuse, until his retirement in 1985. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He loved the outdoors, enjoying camping, his pool, and spending time with his great grandchildren.
His is survived by his son Douglas and his wife Kathleen of Elbridge, his daughters Patricia and husband Thomas Flynn of Weedsport, Susan Griffin of Auburn and Sharon Carbino of Syracuse, six grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Maryrose Plish Carbino in 2001.
Funeral services for Mr. Carbino will be at 10 A.M. Saturday, January 5, at the Plis Funeral Home. Private burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends are invited to call Friday from 4 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home, 220 State St., Auburn.
Contributions may be made in his memory to the Finger Lakes SPCA of Central New York, or Matthew House.
