Sandra L. Wilcox, passed away Wednesday May 17, 2023 at home surrounded by her family. Born in Syracuse on August 10, 1946 to the late Howard and Betty (King) Norris, she was a lifetime resident of the Marcellus/Camillus area. Sandy graduated from Marcellus Central Schools in 1964, and married Jerry Wilcox on October 5, 1968. She worked various jobs to put herself through cosmetology and beauty school, which preceded her to run her own successful hair salon for over 52 years until her passing.
Sandy is survived by husband Jerry, daughter Melissa (David Rushing) Harter, son Matthew (Kelley Snyder), grandsons Nolan (Gabi) Harter and Aden Harter as well as brother Joseph Norris and nephew Joseph (Cherilyn) Norris II.
Services for Sandy will be 11 a.m. Saturday June 24 at the Elbridge Community Church. Calling hours will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday June 23 at the Plis Funeral Home, 33 North St., Marcellus.
Memorial donations in Sandy’s name may be made to Hospice of CNY.
