Wayne E. Norris, 81, of Marcellus passed away Tuesday December 21, 2021 at home after a short illness. Born in E. Homer, NY to the late Edgar and Evelynne Norris. He was a partner with his brother Bruce running Norris Brothers Farm, which produced raw milk for the Dairylea Milk Processors and the Preble Co-Op which sold it’s milk to the Kraft Cheese Company. In his free time away from the farm he drove bus for the Marcellus School District, drove tractor trailer for Preble Milk and hauled can milk for several farmers. Wayne was also very active in his community serving as past president of Otisco, Excelsior and Onondaga Pomona Grange’s, he was past president and assistant chief of the Navarino Fire Department, past president of the Marcellus Snowmobile Club, was a director on the Board of Soil and water Conservation District of Onondaga County, member of the Board of Assessment review in the Town of Marcellus and Agriculture Advisory Committee. His is survived by his wife of 52 years Janet, son Steve “Reno” (Joan) Norris, daughter Sara (Peter) Randolph, brother Bruce (Emma “Sis”) Norris, sister Caroline “Sook” (Wayne) Fellows, grandchildren Joseph and Zachary Norris, Brian and Natalie Randolph, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his grandson Matthew Norris Calling hours for Wayne will be from 3-6 p.m. Tuesday December 28 (Face mask required) at the Plis Funeral Home, 33 North St., Marcellus.
