Obituary for William R. Masters

William “Bill” Richard Masters, son of the late Harold and Mary Masters, of Marcellus passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on June 12th surrounded by his family. A loving husband and father he is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sandy, children Jennifer (Mike) Wilcox, Becky (Kirk) Stevenson, Aaron (Holly) Masters, Emily (Mike) Wheeler and Allen Master (Lindsay Powlin). He is also survived by his brother, Jim (Marcia) Masters and sister Judy Lewis, 9 plus grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Bill leaves behind a legacy of hard work and devotion to his family, farm and community. He loved and took pride in his farm and his country. His appreciation of the simple miracles in life and in nature were inspiring. Most of all he will be remembered for his fun personality; a selfless, kind and gentle soul with a great sense of humor who always brightened the day of those around him. He will be greatly missed by those that loved and laughed with him.
Calling hours will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Friday June 15, with a funeral on Saturday June 16 at 10 a.m. at the Plis Funeral Home, 33 North St., Marcellus.
