Obituary for Olga Lakota (Lange)

Olga Lakota, 90, of Route 31, Port Byron, died Saturday, August 18, 2018. Mrs. Lakota was a native of Belarus, and has resided in the Auburn area for the past 60 years. She was a former employee of Columbian Rope Co., and a member of SS Peter & Paul Church.
Mrs. Lakota is survived by her daughter Kathy and her husband Nathan Tratt of Port Byron, five sons and their wives, Dymtro and Dorothy Lakota of Deptford, NJ, Alex and Anne Lakota of Kanona, NY, Roman and Michelle Lakota of Port Byron, John Jr. and Ericka Lakota of Painted Post and Peter and Brenda Lakota of Memphis, NY, 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband John Lakota Sr. in 2003.
Friends are invited to call from 4 to 7 P.M. Wednesday, August 22nd at the Plis Funeral Home, 220 State St., Auburn. Funeral services will follow at 7 P.M... Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Port Byron.
Contributions may be made in Mrs. Lakota’s memory to the Finger Lakes SPCA of CNY, 41 York St., Auburn, NY 13021.
