Obituary

Leila C. Austin, 93, of Navarino, passed away on June 5, 2020. She cared for many patients during her years at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital. Leila loved her family, teaching them many worthwhile life lessons and skills. She was a devout Catholic and shared her faith as an instructor of religious education.
She is survived by her children Susan, Virginia, James (Terri), George (Laurie), Matthew, and Maureen and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Her sister Marilyn Powell also survives her. Leila was predeceased by her husband, Floyd and children Timothy, Nancy, and Christopher.
Services will be private for the family at this time.

Leila was a wonderful woman. She took time to host many of the neighborhood children at her home and took them on outings as well. Our condolences to the entire Aistin family from the Winters. Prayers for peace.

Loved seeing Leila with Maureen. She was so cute with her hats and beautiful smile. It was a joy to meet her and to work with Maureen. May she be at peace now. My condolences to all her family and hoping the memories of her give you all peace .
